MOSCOW (AP) — U. S. Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N. Y., speaking at a Senate hearing Thursday, said the Senate needs to hold a hearing on the use of Viagra as a drug that could be used to treat erectile dysfunction.

"I think it's important to note that Viagra has been used to treat a variety of other conditions for many years. And now that Viagra has been approved for use in treating erectile dysfunction, there are many other drugs in the world that have been used for erectile dysfunction, including many other medications," he said. "I think this should be included in the committee's recommendation."
